The Challenge
Campco Properties operates a staff accommodation camp in Abu Dhabi with around 3,500 residents who depend heavily on internet connectivity to stay in touch with family and access essential services. Connectivity had been unreliable — Wi-Fi dead zones, unexplained outages, and no formal support structure left residents frustrated and management fielding constant complaints.
What We Delivered
NETCUE deployed an EdgeCue EC-5000 captive portal gateway as the central internet access controller, giving the Campco team full visibility into active sessions, bandwidth usage, and user authentication. The voucher system allowed residents to self-serve their internet access without requiring manual intervention from facility staff. Network resilience was addressed by introducing redundant routing paths at the gateway, significantly reducing the risk of single-point outage events.
