The Challenge
Al Dhabi Contracting's staff accommodation camp houses 3,000 workers across multiple residential blocks, recreation facilities, and communal areas. Poor Wi-Fi signal penetration, lack of centralised access control, and an absence of bandwidth management meant the existing setup was both inefficient and difficult to maintain.
What We Delivered
NETCUE conducted a detailed RF survey across the site before deploying 185 EnGenius EWS330AP access points in a managed controller-based architecture, eliminating every coverage gap. The EdgeCue EC-3000 captive portal gateway sat at the network core, managing authentication and bandwidth policies for all 3,000 residents through a prepaid voucher system. The controller-based architecture allowed all 185 APs to be managed centrally — channel assignments, firmware updates, and roaming configurations pushed from a single dashboard.
The Outcome
Al Dhabi Contracting's camp went from patchy, unmanaged internet to a fully engineered enterprise Wi-Fi network — 185 access points covering every corner of the site, with centralised control and a support contract that keeps it running without any internal IT overhead.
