The Challenge
Al Saadiyat Village presented a formidable challenge — 11,000 workers in a dense residential complex, all competing for bandwidth through an undersized and unmanaged internet connection. Facility management needed a solution that could scale without constant hands-on intervention and deliver measurable control over network usage.
What We Delivered
NETCUE designed a resilient network infrastructure capable of handling peak concurrent demand without degradation. The EdgeCue EC-10000 gateway served as the central captive portal, enforcing per-user bandwidth limits and authenticating residents through a prepaid voucher model. Multi-WAN load balancing was achieved through the FlowCue platform, which intelligently distributed traffic across multiple ISP links with weighted routing and automatic failover. VLAN segmentation separated resident traffic from facility management systems, while QoS policies prioritised time-sensitive applications.
The Outcome
Al Saadiyat Village now runs a self-sustaining Wi-Fi network serving 11,000 residents with measurable uptime improvements, full access control, and an operator revenue model that funds ongoing network maintenance.
