The Challenge
Al Raha Village is one of Abu Dhabi's largest staff accommodation communities, home to over 15,000 residents spread across dozens of residential blocks. The existing infrastructure was simply not built to handle this volume of concurrent devices — persistent congestion, dropped connections, and zero access control were daily frustrations for both residents and facility management.
What We Delivered
NETCUE deployed a high-throughput network infrastructure built for scalable guest Wi-Fi serving over 10,000 devices. At the core sat the EdgeCue EC-10000 captive portal gateway, handling authentication, voucher management, and bandwidth policy enforcement across the entire site. A FlowCue multi-WAN load balancer aggregated eight independent 1.25 Gbps internet connections, ensuring continuous high-availability network design even when individual ISP links fluctuated. Residents accessed the internet through a prepaid voucher system that enforced fair-use policies and generated a sustainable revenue stream for the property operator.
The Outcome
The site achieved 99.8% uptime across all eight WAN links with zero unplanned outages in the first 12 months — delivering reliable connectivity to 15,000+ residents while generating consistent monthly voucher revenue for the operator.
